The Kingwood Asylum

The Kingwood Asylum got its roots in 2007. Kirk Fuson and Shayne Torrans innocently started out by scaring trick r’ treaters in Shayne’s front yard. The techniques used were so effective that the two decided to create a “Spook House” in 2008. Utilizing Shayne’s driveway, garage and backyard to create the haunt, a group of family and friends assembled what was to become an expected annual event in Kingwood, TX.
The Spook House was a huge success. Fast forward to 2011. The Kingwood Asylum has a 3,000 sq.ft, building and opened the doors for more than 5000 people.
From the very beginning, DesignByOne handled all of the branding, marketing and photography for the Kingwood Asylum. DesignByOne has generated everything from an original website to posters, shirts, stickers, magazine ads, newspaper ads and the like.
